spent the weekend with one of my close friends. She, like many of friends my age, are treading water in their lives. My mother calls her “Strawberry Shortcake” because my friend epitomizes the sweet and innocence of strawberry curls. Although her life is pulling her one way, she has always been pulled another way, personally. The split between personal and professional choices become blurred in your early years. My thoughts are with her as she, and many of my friends, tread water.

As part of my visit, we went to visit the sisters at Dominican. Each night, the sisters said an evening prayer wishing Jesus goodnight. The voices of heavenly angels on Earth sending their musical prayers to the rafters and beyond: (Yes, I recorded the nuns singing as I prayed in the back pew – multitasking done well.)

  1. I love hearing the nuns singing. Were you on retreat? It sounds like a good place to refresh your spirit and gain strength for next week.

Good luck to you both on your job hunts.
