As I sat around on my couch, still trying to finish my more than a thousand pages of “Atlas Shrugged” (look for the book review soon), I stopped in response to the primordial stomach growl emitting from . . . me. I’ve been craving pizza for weeks, but since my frugalness kept me from ordering take-out, I had yet to fulfill my desires. So what does an amateur chef do when she’s attempting to save money? She makes homemade pizza!
The dough is an olive oil dough, rolled out in a square cookie sheet. I spread a thin layer of tomato sauce, sprinkled with cheese, and topped with bacon and fresh slices of tomato.
Although I’ve made better pizza, I was utilizing my leftovers from the refrigerator after a week of forced snowacation.
