The Most Simple Pizza Done Splendidly

you don’t know this, you can buy pre-made pizza dough in your local grocery store bakery.  This will save you time and trouble
when making home-made, gourmet pizza.  This was the first pre-made pizza dough I’ve purchased, and it won’t be the last.  Simply store the dough in the refrigerator until you are ready to use.  Then let the dough sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour before shaping.  Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit while your dough rests for another 30 minutes to an hour.  Also take this time to prepare your toppings.

Pizza is a great catch-all for anything you might have in your pantry.  Personally, I believe simple and fewer toppings are better, but everyone has different tastes.

I spread pesto on the dough, sliced grape tomatoes, spinach and parmesan cheese.  Bake pizza for 25 minutes or until golden and brown.

There is no limits to what you can top a pizza with – tomato sauce, pepperoni and cheese or pesto, goat cheese and prosciutto.   You can even go crazy and add loads more ingredients, but I find that the fewer toppings you put on your pizza, the more flavor comes out.
