The perk to my job if you work late on the right night is scoring delicious free food! While this doesn’t occur as much as my stomach would prefer, it does happen quite a lot during legislative session. On one of these nights, I ended up at Taste of Georgia – an exhibition of restaurants from around the state hawking their samples.
I regret that I did not have my new, enormous purse at the time because I would have been able to carry more food away from the event.
I’ve learned I’ll work for food. In truth, isn’t this what everybody does? We work to earn a paycheck to afford groceries. It’s a vicious cycle that only remote farmers in the far-flung corners of the world where money doesn’t exist in society know of not.
