Vintage is another word for thrifting in my book.  This black cardigan has been a wardrobe staple for years after I bought it for a few bucks in a small boutique.  My friends have dubbed it the ‘naughty librarian cardigan’.  It’s quite scandalous in the back and all business in the front.  I paired it with white jeans for a summer look to go grab dinner with some friends.  While white jeans makes me nervous since it always seems to invite Murphy’s Law to happen, but it is a quintessential summer staple, much like it’s brother – the white shorts.  I wore this necklace for a subtle pop of colors against the stark black cardigan.  Could you imagine this outfit without the necklace?  My closet would be so lackluster without colorful accessories.

  1. Love this look! That top is absolutely amazing. And that necklace is so pretty! Love the pairing. Popping over from The Pleated Poppy!

  2. This is a challenge I will never accept. My ‘wardrobe’ fits inside a large backpack.
You however continue to look fabulous. That necklace (or something similar) is required to make the look stand-out.
    Naughty librarian look indeed!

  3. Pingback: super real
