my post last week on Asheville?  I’d highly recommend those near by Asheville to drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mt. Mitchell.  There is a place where you can park your car and take a short hike up to Craggy Garden, a peak with a view of seven states on a clear day.

This is the beginning of the trail.  It feels like you are walking into an enchanted garden with the shrubbery tall enough to block your view but short enough so you can see the sky above.

Most of the trail looks like the picture above.

What to wear on a beautiful fall day hike?  While this is not my traditional hiking wear, the trail was relatively short and I had a party to attend after the hike.

Sunglasses: Nine West

Scarf: Cashmere from Mongolia

Green Blouse: Target

Skinny Jeans: Forever 21

Boots: Target

The view from the top was breathtaking!  It has definitely become one of my favorite places!

I wish there were better signs at the top so I know which states I’m looking at, but I suppose that is why Google Earth was invented.

These are my favorite boots in my closet.  They are so worn and comfortable.  It will be hard to replace them when the end-of-season-sales start up, but I’m excited for the challenge!

Do you have any items in your wardrobe you are ready to replace?
