I reiterate that you should always
pack stripes. This is largely because they work well in layering. This H&M vest┬áhas gotten a lot of wear since I bought it last month. It’s a perfect layering piece to add extra warmth – especially since this crazy blogger decided to move north to DC.

Pack layers. Vests, cardigans, and scarfs are great for layering.

Pack jeans. If you are going on a business trip or some place you don’t think you will wear jeans, still pack jeans. You will always need a good pair of jeans – it’s worth investing in jeans, but not all jeans are expensive. My go-to jean brand is American Eagle because I know their short sizes will fit right off the rack! I’m currently coveting this pair.

Here are my fast five tips to packing for a light weekend trip:

  1. Pack Stripes
  2. Pack Comfortable Shoes
  3. Pack Statement Necklace
  4. Pack Layers
  5. Pack Jeans

Happy Travels!
