trips are a quintessential American past time – especially over the summer. This weekend, I traveled in comfort in the Chevrolet Trax to Virginia Beach – special thanks to General Motors for loaning me the vehicle!

I kind of love the open road. It beckons to me of new adventures and unseen sights. It might be the Southern in me, but the I think the countryside is beautiful.

I used my road trip as an excuse to stop by a lavender farm.

I bought these pants in India because I needed something comfortable to travel around the country in the heat. They’ve been buried in the back of my drawer (last seen here), but I’m so glad I’ve re-found them. They are literally the most comfortable traveling trousers!
