I’m excited to get in the Halloween spirit this week by visiting my first haunted forest! I haven’t gone to a haunted house in ages, so looking forward to getting scared in a control setting. How are you getting in the mood?
This season, I’m wearing plaid on repeat. If you’ve been following my Instagram stories, I’ve been using the Maria Kondo method on my closet. In other words, this was my literal weekend uniform as I tried to sort out all my clothes. The struggle is real. I have no idea how I’ve accumulate so much. I’m not getting rid of enough, but I’m trying to focus on organizing everything as well as reminding myself to toss a few things into the donate pile. Who else struggles with their closet? Got any tips? Leave a comment for me!
One of my favorite things to help transition my summer wardrobe to fall is layering up with a cardigan. This one has become a staple with it’s pocket and stripe sleeve detailing. It’s a oldie from TJ Maxx, but I’ve linked up to other great options for this season.
I’ve been trying to incorporate working out into my routine regularly both to stay fit and also manage stress. Since I’ve been squeezing time in to hit the gym whenever I can, I’ve been looking for an athletic wear that can transition from gym to errands.
Fabletics is an amazing brand that offers great athletic and athleisure wear. They have a little bit of everything – rather you like colors or print or neutrals.
These high-waisted sculpt leggings have quickly become a favorite of mine. I love the perforated detail that helps keep me cool when I’m working out, but they still look chic enough to run around town after the gym. This complimentary long sleeve top is also perfect to throw on over a sports bra. Both pieces are also on major sale so you can get this entire look for under $100!
This little black coat/blazer from Zara is a great transition piece from summer to autumn. It’s light so easy to layer without adding too much bulk, and it looks nice and fitted so works well from office to happy hour.
This one is sold out now, but I’ve linked to some other great black coat options below.
I’m still recovering from our trip to Peru and Columbia!
I’m mixing it up with two fun patterns – florals and polka dots today with this ASOS skirt and Zara blouse. This is definitely out of my comfort zone, but it’s good to mix things up a bit. These are both sold out, but I’ve linked to similar items below that would work well together.
This is one of my favorite summer maxi’s I got this year. While bloggers are talking about the latest designers, I’ll continue to highlight great bargain fings like this one from Forever21!
The blue one is sold out, but the dress is in stock in white for less than $30! The fit runs very long so be prepared to get it hemmed if you are petite. However, the value for money is worth it! I’ve also linked to other Forever21 maxi’s that I’m on crushing on.
These ASOS mustard trousers are the perfect transition piece from summer to autumn. They are the right color to be versatile in both seasons, but the material is surprisingly pretty thick so will keep you warm when fall gets cooler.
When I’m struggling to find something to wear for work, I always go with the class “little black dress”. This is White House and Black Market from a previous season, but I’ve linked up to recent LBDs that you might like below.
I like pairing all-black outfits with a pop of color. You’d be surprised how often I wear these floral print kitten heels – I’d definitely recommend you investing in a pair for your work closet.
