Want to leave him speechless on Valentine’s Day? Check out all the amazing dresses from Speechless to find your perfect look for date night.
I picked the Speechless hi-low dress in the navy since it can be both fun and formal! It’s still pretty cold in D.C.; therefore, I’ve paired the dress with a fur collar accent. I also really like hi-low dresses because they are much easier to walk in than a regular maxi.
Here are are a few other Valentine’s Day dresses that I’ve worn in the past:
Do you have a person in your life that is impossible to shop for? Does he or she have everything already? What do you get a person like this?
Check out Presenteur, which collates unique things that you would not find in a store. I recently went to their pop-up boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue in Tysons Galleria and their selection of items is truly perfect for easy gift ideas.
Don’t you think you also deserve nice things? Don’t forget to treat yourself during the Black Friday Sales and Cyber Monday Deals this week!
Here are a few items I’m looking for myself:
Purse for going out
Boots – a bold color like red, white or cowboy to change up my looks!
Winter White Dress
Animal Print Skirt
I love Shopbop because they offer unique styles from designers all around the world on one platform. I still definitely shop at H&M, Forever21 and ASOS, but I also invest in a few good pieces that help make my wardrobe stand out from others. For those unique pieces – I shop at Shopbop.

Don’t leave your christmas shopping to the last minute, check out all the great deals this week on my sales page.
Nespresso Machine (and nespresso pods and holder)
Table for your bed so you can keep working on your laptop, sketching in your notebook or reading that magazine.
Wireless Headphones – I use the Apple Airpods, but I would actually recommend the ones with the neck wire connecting them for working out (less likely to lose an earbud while running/biking/lifting).
Noise Cancelling Headphones – Do you work in a cubicle in an open plan office or have a noisy family or roommates that you wish you didn’t have to listen to or are distracting you? This is a game changing gift!
Fitbit – Wearable technology makes for a great gift as it can often feel like a luxury item for someone to buy for themselves.
Moleskin Notebook – Everyone takes notes in meetings, or at least brings a notebook with them to doodle in. Try a paper one or a digital one, both are great gift options.
Yeti Mug – Everyone has a thermos, but the Yeti Mug is the next step! It will keep your liquids hot or cold for literally hours. I received one a few years ago, and they are now the only mugs I use.
Watch/ Sunglasses – A good pair of polarized sunglasses and a classic watch always make for great gifts. I’m also partnering with MVMT so you can get $15 off your purchase with promo code “katestylepetite15“! In the photo, I’m wearing MVMT “legend” sunglasses that can be yours for less than $50! I love how their polarization makes the fall leaves look even more vibrant!
Happy New Year! Today, I’m flying back from Taipei to DC. It was wonderful to celebrate with my sister and friends there, but tomorrow is going to be a b*tch. Who else is not ready for being back in the office? ?
Still have holiday parties to go to? I’ve paired my Rosegal crocheted lace top, last worn here, H&M midi skirt, and forever 21 heels for a fun outfit that is easy to transition between the office to happy hour. I would recommend wearing a solid black tank underneath the crochet top for the office. I have also styled the top with a leather skirt, like last time, which is a fun way to make it happy-hour-ready!
What are your plans to celebrate the end of 2017 and the start of 2018?
This year has been a year of challenge, excitement and improvement. I’ve finished my Master’s, got lasik eye surgery, decorated my place like an adult, and travelled to 9 countries. At the same time, the world has moved at a break-neck speed. I don’t talk about politics on this blog, but it is what I do during the day. I use this blog as an escape, and I hope that it has been one for you too.
I’m looking forward to 2018. This coming year, I’m going to keep “laughter” in my mind and heart. It is a reminder to myself to enjoy life, to have fun, to work hard and play hard, and to keep my life more balanced. What is your word for 2018?
However, you are spending your day, I hope it is filled with laughter, love, family, friends and food!
If you have to go to the office later this week, here is a little green and red outfit inspiration for you. I’m obsessed with these H&M wide-legged green trousers! They make me feel like a tall statue (in part because I’m wearing high-heeled boots).
If you are already tired of all the red and green, try adding gold accents to your holiday party attire. These ASOS shoes were purchased last year, but they are my ultimate party shoes – last worn here. I’ve paired them with a classic navy midi dress from N/Nicholas, an Australian brand that came onto the scene in 2015. The quality is excellent and this dress has pockets! I’ve layered a white blouse from Zara to make it office-party-ready.
