Besides the fact that every Morrocan restaurant is like eating in a mosaic castle, the appetizers they provide foreigners gives a smorgasbord of what Morrocans eat daily. They would typically only have one of these dishes in a slightly larger portion for their meal. Because I’m such a foodie, I ate everything pictured above just as my appetiser.
The dishes are familiar but different. Squashes I know well are cooked with rich Morrocan spices that I’ve never heard of before made the eating experience very enjoyable. I fell in love with Morrocan food, and now that I’m back home, I hope to learn some of their cooking techniques.
If you’ve never tried this cuisine, I highly recommend it.
